Low, mounding evergreen shrub displaying small, dark green, pointed leaves and attractive maroon stems. Clusters of pink, bell-shaped flowers in spring. Native plant of the Pacific Northwest. Manzanita can be a suitable groundcover for dry, sandy soils. Best growth occurs in acid soils. Excellent for edging and rock gardens.
